I was on one of those roller-coaster highs yesterday. Don’t know why; might have been as simple as a good night’s sleep. Whatever it was, yakked all day, told goofy jokes, sang that cow song that got stuck in my head, kept it up nonstop all day. Put a new MasterCard/Visa logo on my website. Underneath it says, “I now except MasterCard and Visa, but not online. Please mail me your credit card and I’ll copy the numbers manually. Your card will be everywhere I want it to be.” You couldn’t turn me off. I know what that means – roller coasters go down, too. I manage to stay at a pretty even positive attitude almost every day, but when I have a goofy high, it’s often followed by a maudlin low. I’ll just have to be on my guard – today, I’m at “normal positive” again. That’s a good sign. Lots of family stuff this weekend – sister and family coming to town, taking Mom out for Mother’s Day brunch. I’m going to rescue my brother-in-law from the wimminfolk talking and go golfing if I can find a tee time. Under the guide of “let’s give Mom and Sis quality time to bond, what do you think?” strategy. I’m pretty happy with the layout of Chasing the Wind. Not bad for a colorblind engineer, I think to myself; much better than that treetop/sky boxy design I tried. I still want to take out some of those straight boxy lines and replace them with wiggly lines with a swirly knob on the end, but I’m ready to start adding some sort of content besides a monkey picture and a mastercard/visa logo. Too much fun stuff to do all weekend. 🙂
