Tom DeLay isn’t cooperating with the Democrats. They wanted a media circus yesterday, complete with mugshots they could use for their upcoming campaigns.

Instead, Tom DeLay turned himself in in Houston and smiled a big cheesy grin for the camera.

The November elections will be over before DeLay’s trial begins – which was the whole point of the timing of the indictment, I suspect – and based on the limited evidence, there will be no conviction.

All the more reason to keep smiling.

Update: Democrats have posted it on their website, front and center. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is what this indictment was all about.
