I am amused by the conspiracy theorists on the left. I don’t blame them for holding out hope, though statistically it’s unlikely Kerry can gain enough votes. Here’s the theories I found on Democratic Underground:

• The exit polls are never wrong, and they showed Kerry winning Florida and Ohio.
• Canadian TV said it would be an early landslide for Kerry, and they had inside information. (What exactly is inside information during an election?
• In swing states, Bush won with exactly 5% more than polls showed. Coincidence?
• Republicans own Diebold (Diabolical) voting machines.
• Ballots from 40 precincts were loaded into a pickup truck with a “Bush/Cheney” bumper sticker.
