Caroline’s Birthday

Sand in the Gears posted again today. He posts rarely, but his posts are always poignant.

Today he shares that his daughter would have been nine today, and how he’s learned how to live with her loss. Through it all, his faith carries him and his family.

If you want to read the whole story of Caroline first before you wish her a happy birthday, have a box of tissues handy first.

Oh Michael. Thank you. I have Sand in the Gears blogrolled, but somehow I’d never read Caroline’s story, until today. Thanks for linking to him. Time to get on my knees and pray – for them, for us.

  4. Uptown Girl Says:

I read this on Vox’s blog and it is heart tearing

I clicked on the links again this afternoon – I don’t care how many times you read Caroline’s story, it’s a heartbreaker each time.
