Chasing the Wind

News. Faith. Nonsense.

Patch the Cone Head

I took Patch back to the vet today; he’s recovering very well from last Friday’s surgery. He has plenty of energy and doesn’t seem to be in any pain.

But he’s starting to lick and inflame the suture. The doctor put some neosporin on the suture and gave Patch a nice soft blue satellite collar. I think it makes Patch look like a 15 lb highly energized sunflower. He’s very pretty.

I suggested that perhaps the vet could give him a Princess Leia slave girl outfit from Star Wars Episode 5, but the vet thought the collar was sufficient.

Jabba the Hutt would find this morsel very tasty

  2. Fortunately the doctor thought it was humiliating enough for the poor boy (Patch) to have to wear a blue cone that looks like a flower. I stopped by to see little Patch and all I can say is: bless his little pea pickin heart!

  3. They also sell a Darth Vader outfit that I think Patch (and myself) would like a bit more.

About Me

Michael, a sinner saved by grace, sharing what the good Lord has shared with me.

Solomon, in the book of Ecclesiastes, said, “I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.”

If you’re not living for the glory of God, then what you’re doing is meaningless, no matter what it is. Living for God gives life meaning, and enjoying a “chasing after the wind” is a gift from God. I’m doing what I can to enjoy this gift daily.

Got questions? I’m not surprised. If you have any questions about Chasing the Wind, you can email me at chasingthewind@outlook.com.
