A New Pope

Wow. A new pope has been chosen after only two days. Don’t know who it is yet, but the bells of St. Peter’s Basilica are ringing.

Update: Pope Benedict XVI from Germany.

    It took Associated Press all of four minutes to start hammering on him as “arch-conservative”…Have you ever heard of an “arch-liberal”?

    Hey, if the AP’s agin’ him, he’s my kinda guy – kick butt and take names, Benedict. God Speed.

    I’m pleased that they choose an ultra conservative; the last thing this already out of control world needs, is a liberal Pope. God’s blessings, Pope Benedict!

Solomon, in the book of Ecclesiastes, said, “I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.”

If you’re not living for the glory of God, then what you’re doing is meaningless, no matter what it is. Living for God gives life meaning, and enjoying a “chasing after the wind” is a gift from God. I’m doing what I can to enjoy this gift daily.
