All Blogged Out Today

I’m beat. Work has me on extended hours, possibly working through weekends, so when I get home, catching up on the news is hard. Lets just say this week I’m against everything, especially trying to figure out if that tramp Madonna is really changing her name to Esther. From “Mother of God” to “Queen of the Jews.” Actually, I’m against either name. She should change her name to Prince because he changed his name to The Artist. Or change her name to “I Used to Pose Naked in a Book Called ‘Sex’ But Now I Want to Write Stories Your Children Will Enjoy.”

See, I told you I’m tired. That was just random, tired blogging at its worst.

And I guess I’m not against everything. I’m for cute little bunnies. And I’m for keeping the Hubble telescope in service. And I’m all in favor of SondraK painting her toes. Maybe I’m more agreeable than I thought.

If I blogged at all today, it was over on Spritzy, taking the “Pro-Life” position to her “Pro-Choice.” She won’t convince me, of course, and I won’t convince her. And then some random anonymous girl pops in to try to take the position that pro-life is a belief forced upon women by uncaring men. That’s hogwash, of course, and it ignored the vast number of pro-life women or even pro-choice men. It’s a cheap argument that attempts to turn it into a sexist issue. It’s not; it’s much more a religious issue that depends on when you believe life begins. Men and women are essentially evenly split. Anyway, it was a pretty civil discourse until a couple of cheap shots by the anonymous stranger.

I think I’ll go play games tonight instead. I’m not against that. 😛

  1. Next time you’re bored you can come over and paint my toenails;!!!

On a serious note….being pro-life isn’t a religous issue for me. Or a sexist one. It’s killing an innocent. Simple.

  2. I would say your comment about Madonna is a little judgemental. I don’t necessarily agree with the decisions she’s made in her life, but I do have respect for her as a businesswoman and entertainer. No one else has been able to reinvent themselves like her and had the longevity that she has. And show me a celeb who isn’t odd, to put it nicely.

And Prince is now Prince again 🙂

  3. Ooh. A toe painting party. I’ll think about it. 😛

You’re correct, it’s not just a religious issue. That same poll I quoted over there showed 60% or Protestant votors against abortion. “No Religion” were 76% for abortion.

But it really boils down to this: Do you think abortion ends the life of a baby? I think it does, but even if you’re unsure, you ought to err on the safe side.

And of course I’m judgemental. The blog wouldn’t be any fun if I wasn’t. 😛

She has a couple of songs that are fun – “Material Girl” is the only one that comes to mind. And if she wants to write a book about ‘Sex’ and pose in kinky positions, I hope she had a good time doing it. But I wouldn’t want my young impressionable children reading stories she’s written.

I played UO for an hour last night and did a couple of treasure hunts for a murderer. I had forgotten that reds could go into town now; he met me at a bank and surprised me.

I thought Prince was still The Artist? I thought when he changed his name to an unpronouceable symbol that it was bizzare. Here’s an odd fact I just uncovered – in 2001 he converted to Jehovah’s Witness faith. Is that when he changed to a symbol? I thought Jehovah’s Witnesses shunned symbols?
