Short & sweet: I’ll be pruning the blogroll, the list of other blogs on the left side. If you’re reading one of them and it suddenly disappears, I snipped it.
When I link a site, it’s usually because I read something interesting there and I intend to go back. Sometimes when I go back, I’m not comfortable with the content. *poof* I have to remove it.
I guess I can comment on this freely as I’m not listed on your blogroll. 🙂
While I certainly agree with removing blogs that carry objectional material, I think there’s still a place in my own blogroll for people who publish stuff that makes me ‘uncomfortable’. There are a few blogs on my roll written by people who have quite different views to mine but as long as they’re not writing anything offensive, I keep them there to keep me thinking. I like being challenged to think outside the square.

Making me “uncomfortable” isn’t the issue, and I certainly don’t mind opposing viewpoints. Sometimes I revisit a website that I thought was PG-13 and it turned out to be rated R for raunchy language, nudity, or presenting their information in an insulting or offensive way. I don’t have much tolerance for that.

Michael, a sinner saved by grace, sharing what the good Lord has shared with me.
Solomon, in the book of Ecclesiastes, said, “I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.”
If you’re not living for the glory of God, then what you’re doing is meaningless, no matter what it is. Living for God gives life meaning, and enjoying a “chasing after the wind” is a gift from God. I’m doing what I can to enjoy this gift daily.
