All serious topics for today:
- A group of former homosexuals have found that homosexuality can be overcome with strength from Jesus. They’re putting up billboards, too. Exodus International says that change is possible.
- The ACLU is attacking the Boy Scouts again saying the pledge “to do my duty to God and my country” makes them ineligible for federal funding. The ACLU thinks boys should be able to be scouts without pledging allegience to God. My observation: there are other non-Christian organizations for boys they can join, there’s no reason to attack the Boy Scouts except that the ACLU is an anti-Christian organization.
- Evangelical pastors have identified the top 10 issues facing Christians today. Abortion, homosexuality, relevance, marriage, apathy, doctrine/worldview, evangelism, leadership, discipleship and prayer (in that order) were chose from 3700 topics. You can get a detailed discussion of each topic at lifeway.com/top10, complete with pastoral discussion and biblical resources.
