Before the Storm

I was unsuccessful at getting home – hours before my flight was supposed to leave from Duisburg, Germany, all flights into Houston, Dallas, and Austin were cancelled. I briefly considered San Antonio, but I-10 is one way out of Houston.

So I’m staying put. My lovely and very capable wife is riding out the storm. As you can imagine, I’m very worried about her. I wanted, almost desparately, to be there to ride out the storm together.

Y’all pray for us, please.

Solomon, in the book of Ecclesiastes, said, “I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.”

If you’re not living for the glory of God, then what you’re doing is meaningless, no matter what it is. Living for God gives life meaning, and enjoying a “chasing after the wind” is a gift from God. I’m doing what I can to enjoy this gift daily.
