Image via WikipediaThe newscasters failed to get us into a tizzy over the weather. Tropical Storm Edouard never grew up into a hurricane. Actually, I think it’s a himmicane, not a hurricane. And he seems to have swerved a bit east and is coming ashore around Beaumont this morning.

As one Houston newscast put it, “We dodged a bullet this morning.” My first thought was… “whoa!” Tropical Storms have bullets? No wonder they’re so dangerous.”
