God bless Joellen Murphy for her ministry. Joellen Murphy is putting together a campaign to counter atheist messages at Christmastime.

Atheists in the nation’s capitol have been campaigning to get Americans to doubt God’s existence this Christmas, but one Christian woman is standing up against their efforts.

Joellen Murphy had been praying for a chance to evangelize when she received an email about atheist advertisements showing up on the sides of metro buses in Washington.

    These atheist campaigns are not about getting Christians to doubt anything. They are about reminding atheists that we are not alone.

    I don’t believe I’ve seen a consistent message from atheists on this subject; the line you disagreed with was in the original newspaper article I quoted.

    If there’s no overall purpose for living, I don’t see why it matters whether atheists are alone or not. We’re just temporal existence of cognitive meat.

    The Christian faith provides such a purpose and teaches us that we are the body of Christ, His hands and feet. Not only are we connected to other believers, but also to our God who created us.

Solomon, in the book of Ecclesiastes, said, “I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.”

If you’re not living for the glory of God, then what you’re doing is meaningless, no matter what it is. Living for God gives life meaning, and enjoying a “chasing after the wind” is a gift from God. I’m doing what I can to enjoy this gift daily.
