I’m having trouble breathing because of all the dust. Today, they cut off all electricity. Tomorrow, they cut off the water. On Monday, a man is supposed to come and take away the oxygen.
Seriously, the work is progressing nicely. The living room has the walnut wainscotting removed, and the surround sound is being installed. Next week, the carpet will be pulled and replaced with a cherry wood floor with a 5″ maple shoe base. New ceiling fan, too. Here are some pics Diane took:

Not shown is the dining room which hasn’t been touched yet, but it too will have new cherry floors. The study will also get the cherry floors and a ceiling fan installed since there isn’t any light in that room.
The bathroom has been totally demolished. The fiberglass tub and the toilet are gone. Next week, there will be a new steel and enamel tub, and all the linoleum will be pulled and replaced with big 16″x16″ Maui flavored tiling.

And the foyer had this hideous tiling that’s been ripped up; tonight, there’s a new slate floor that I’m not allowed to walk on, which made getting upstairs tricky. Those stairs in the background have carpet, but it’ll have Carolina Ash WilsonArt laminate installed on it shortly.

Somebody help me.
